Notes

'Walker' cat mint (Nepeta racemosa 'Walker') is a perennial for borders, cottage gardens, rock gardens, and pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, sandy, loamy, or chalky soil. Bees and butterflies visit the purple-blue blooms, which appear in spring, summer, and autumn above gray-green, fragrant leaves. Deer and rabbits tend to pass it by. It grows fast, so give it room.

Pairs well with Moonshine yarrow, Prairie dropseed, and Magnus coneflower.
