Notes

Warty barberry (Berberis verruculosa) is a shrub for borders, hedges, specimen planting, and winter interest. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil of most types. It grows slowly into an arching, evergreen mound and tolerates drought. Birds visit the plant. Deer usually look elsewhere for a meal.

Pairs well with Green Velvet buxus, Spurge, and Ornamental onion.
