Notes

'Wellwisher' peony (Paeonia 'Wellwisher') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, loamy soil. The ruffled flowers are pinkish purple over cream and open in early to late spring. Butterflies visit the blooms. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal.

Pairs well with Elegans hosta, Arabella clematis, and Greig's tulip.
