Notes

'White Lava' taro (Colocasia esculenta 'White Lava') is a perennial for borders, containers, specimen use, and accents. It is hardy to USDA zone 8, or down to 10°F (-12°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to wet, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It grows as a clump and reaches 35 to 47 inches tall. Deer and rabbits tend to browse other plants first. Give it room to spread 24 to 36 inches.

Pairs well with Virginia sweetspire, Inkberry, Mexican petunia, and Karl Foerster feather reed grass.
