Notes

'Blue Hawaii' taro (Colocasia esculta 'Blue Hawaii') is a bulb for borders, containers, specimen planting, and rain gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 8, or down to 10°F (-12°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to wet, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It forms a clumping mound that grows 24 to 36 inches tall. It sits low on the menu for deer and rabbits. The yellow spathe and white spadix add a small touch of interest.

Pairs well with Calla lily, Ostrich fern, and Mexican petunia.
