Notes

'Black Coral' taro (Colocasia esculenta 'Black Coral') is a bulb for borders, containers, and specimen or accent plantings. It is hardy to USDA zone 7, or down to 0°F (-18°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to wet, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It forms a clumping mound up to 48 inches tall and 24 to 36 inches wide. Its white blooms are a small bonus beside the bold foliage. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal.

Pairs well with Mondo grass, Karl Foerster feather reed grass, and Society garlic.
