Notes

'Black Magic' taro (Colocasia esculenta 'Black Magic') is a perennial for borders, containers, specimen use, and rain gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 8, or down to 10°F (-12°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to wet, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice. It forms a clump 3 to 6 feet tall and wide. The plant grows at a moderate pace and keeps its leaves year-round.

Pairs well with Ostrich fern, Virginia sweetspire, and Pitcher plant.
