Notes

'White Queen' spider flower (Cleome houtteana 'White Queen') is an annual for borders and low maintenance beds. It is not cold-hardy and will not survive freezing temperatures. This plant likes full sun and dry to average, sandy, loamy, or chalky soil. It grows about 35 to 47 inches tall and bears fragrant flowers that draw butterflies, hummingbirds, and birds. It is not a favorite of rabbits, though hungry rabbits will eat almost anything. Drought tolerance makes it an easy pick for a hot spot.

Pairs well with Mexican sunflower, Snapdragon, and First Knight fountain grass.
