Notes

'White Sands' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'White Sands') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. It blooms mid season on plants about 32 inches tall. The Japanese type flowers have a yellow center that turns white as petalodes become carpelodes. The blooms are strongly fragrant, and the scent lasts when you cut them.

Pairs well with Cheerfulness daffodil, Blue sage, Spotted dead nettle, and Tall fescue.
