Notes

'Whitehorse' peony (Paeonia 'Whitehorse') is a shrub for borders, specimen plantings, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). Give it full or part sun and average to moist, loamy soil. The white flowers have purple centers and open stamens, and they bloom in early to late spring. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal. Derek Irvine bred it in 2001.

Pairs well with Elegans hosta, Jeana garden phlox, and Big bluestem.
