Notes

'Wild Forest Blackberry' peony (Paeonia 'Wild Forest Blackberry') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen plantings. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, loamy soil. It bears deep red-violet, semi-double flowers 5 inches wide in early to late spring, and butterflies visit them. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal. You can propagate it by division.

Pairs well with Obsidian coral bells, Garden phlox, and Blue Arrow Rocky mountain juniper.
