Notes
'Winky Blue-White' columbine (Aquilegia vulgaris 'Winky Blue-White') is a perennial for borders, containers, and low maintenance gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil of most types. It blooms in early to late spring and again in early to late summer, and bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds visit the flowers. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal. It grows 12 to 24 inches tall and wide.
Pairs well with Hardy geranium, Foxglove, Silver feather grass, and Purple Sensation ornamental onion.
