Notes

'Witch' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Witch') is a perennial for borders and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The crimson-pink blooms are fragrant and open in early summer. Hollis bred it in 1908. The dark green foliage stays full on upright, medium-sized plants.

Pairs well with Switchgrass, Maltese cross, and Incrediball Storm Proof smooth hydrangea.
