Notes

'Wonderous Design' peony (Paeonia 'Wonderous Design') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Roger F. Anderson bred it, and it bears fragrant, light yellow, ruffled blooms that attract butterflies and bees. It stands upright and needs no support. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything.

Pairs well with Dancing Queen hosta, Switchgrass, Black Parrot tulip, and Charles Joly lilac.
