Notes
'Wonderous Mauve' peony (Paeonia 'Wonderous Mauve') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Fragrant lilac-pink single blooms with rippled petals open on upright stems that need no support. It sits low on the menu for deer and rabbits. Bees and butterflies visit the flowers.
Pairs well with Rainforest Sunrise hosta, Incrediball Storm Proof smooth hydrangea, and Blonde Ambition blue grama.
