Notes

'Yale' peony (Paeonia 'Yale') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. It grows about 20 inches tall and bears deep red, fragrant flowers that bees and butterflies visit. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal.

Pairs well with August Moon hosta, White Swan coneflower, Standing Ovation little bluestem, and Black Parrot tulip.
