Notes

'Yellow Admiral' peony (Paeonia 'Yellow Admiral') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, loamy soil. Mid yellow blooms with dark red flares open in early to late spring and attract butterflies. Derek Irvine bred it in 2001. It sits low on the menu for deer and rabbits.

Pairs well with Obsidian coral bells, Foxglove, Big bluestem, and Greig's tulip.
