Notes

'Yellow Cascade' Japanese maple (Acer palmatum 'Yellow Cascade') is a small deciduous tree for use as a ground cover. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes part sun and average moisture. Its weeping branches carry butter yellow leaves with faint pink edges that turn yellow and green in summer. If you stake it, it grows to the stake height and then cascades, but without a stake it crawls across the ground.

Pairs well with Northwind switchgrass, Viburnum, and Spiderwort.
