Notes
Yellow-flowered garlic (Allium flavum) is a bulb for borders, containers, and xeriscape gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist soil of most types. Its open yellow flower heads look like fireworks and have a light scent. Plant it in groups of 3, 5, or 7, and trim the leaves if they die back before flowering. Deer tend to pass it by.
Pairs well with Stella de Oro daylily, Blue grama, and Prairie dropseed.
