Notes

Yellow hibiscus (Hibiscus hamabo) is a shrub for borders, hedges, privacy screens, and rain gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 8, or down to 10°F (-12°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to wet soil of most types. It tolerates drought and salt, and butterflies, hummingbirds, bees, and birds visit it. Deer usually look elsewhere for a meal. Give it room, since it can grow wide.

Pairs well with Pomegranate, Live oak, and Mexican petunia.
