Notes

Yellow passion flower (Passiflora lutea) is a vine for borders, pollinator gardens, and containers. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full sun to part shade and dry to moist, sandy or loamy soil. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything. It climbs or trails to about 15 feet, and its greenish-yellow flowers give way to purple or black berries. Butterfly larvae feed on it, and the leaves turn yellow in fall.

Pairs well with Cross vine, Amsonia, and Karl Foerster feather reed grass.
