Notes

'Yellow Queen' golden columbine (Aquilegia chrysantha 'Yellow Queen') is a perennial for borders, containers, rock gardens, and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun to full shade and average to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. The fragrant flowers bloom in early to late spring and again in early to late summer. Butterflies, hummingbirds, bees, and birds visit them. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice.

Pairs well with Woodland phlox, Fire and Ice hosta, Sensitive fern, and Cheerfulness daffodil.
