Notes

'Yellow Spanish' sweet cherry (Prunus avium 'Yellow Spanish') is a columnar tree for food gardens and pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun. You grow it for fresh eating, and the fruit ripens late in the season. Blooms open in early to late spring and attract butterflies and bees. It is not self-fertile, so plant a second cherry nearby for fruit.

Pairs well with Hummingbird sweet pepperbush, Thalia daffodil, and Spiked speedwell.
