Notes

Yellow wild indigo (Baptisia sphaerocarpa) is a perennial for borders and low maintenance gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to average, sandy or loamy soil. It grows into a compact, rounded clump with many branches. Large yellow flowers open along the upper stems, well above the foliage, and they draw butterflies and bees.

Pairs well with Cat mint, Blue fescue, and Panicle hydrangea.
