Notes

Yellow wood anemone (Anemone lipsiensis) is a perennial for borders, containers, and ground cover. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes part sun and average to moist, loamy, clay, or chalky soil. It blooms in early to late spring and spreads 12 to 24 inches, so give it room to fill in. It is not a favorite of deer, though hungry deer will eat almost anything. Care is easy, and it suits acid, alkaline, or neutral soil.

Pairs well with Yellow trout-lily, Common cowslip, and Checkered lily.
