Notes

Wood anemone (Anemone nemorosa) is a perennial for borders and low maintenance gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes part sun and average to moist, loamy, clay, or chalky soil. White flowers appear from early to late spring, and a few are tinged with pink or purple. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything. The plant grows 6 to 18 inches tall and wide.

Pairs well with Rainbow's End hosta, Northwind switchgrass, and Climbing hydrangea.
