Notes

'Yelverton' golden willow (Salix alba 'Yelverton') is a tree for use as a specimen, in rain gardens, and in low maintenance spots. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to wet, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It grows at a rapid rate with an erect habit. Deer tend to browse other plants first. Birds are drawn to this willow.

Pairs well with American sycamore, Dawn redwood, Cinnamon fern, and Culver’s root.
