Notes

'Britzensis' golden willow (Salix alba 'Britzensis') is a tree for borders, specimen planting, and rain gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to wet, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It grows fast and stays upright, and birds visit it. It also shows fall color. It is not a favorite of deer, though hungry deer will eat almost anything.

Pairs well with Cardinal red twig dogwood, River birch, and Winter creeper.
