Notes

'Youth' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Youth') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Ernest Flint Kelsey bred it in 1906. The large double flowers are blush white with ivory tones at the base of the petals. They are fragrant and open in early to mid summer on good stems above dark foliage.

Pairs well with Anise hyssop, Blanket flower, and Royal fern.
