Notes

'Yuhou Caihong' peony (Paeonia 'Yuhou Caihong') is a shrub for borders, cottage gardens, specimen planting, and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, loamy soil. Fragrant, semi-double orange-yellow blooms with orange-red edges open in early to late spring and attract butterflies. It sits low on the menu for deer and rabbits. Established plants handle dry spells well.

Pairs well with Obsidian coral bells, Foxglove, Big bluestem, and Greig's tulip.
