Notes

'Zeblid' drooping laurel (Leucothoe fontanesiana 'Zeblid') is a shrub for shade gardens, woodland settings, and winter interest. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes part sun to full shade and dry to wet, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It grows up to 36 inches tall, stays green all year, and draws bees and butterflies in spring. It is not a favorite of deer, though hungry deer will eat almost anything. Give it room to spread 24 to 36 inches.

Pairs well with Foam flower, Cinnamon fern, Aureola Japanese forest grass, and Solomon's seal.
