Notes
'Zi Juan {Purple Azalea}' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Zi Juan {Purple Azalea}') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Single blooms open reddish magenta in mid to late spring and fade to white from the edges inward. The flowers are fragrant. Stems stay upright to 24 inches, so they need no support.
Pairs well with Wild ginger, Cheerfulness daffodil, and Blonde Ambition blue grama.
