Notes

'Zuni' peony (Paeonia 'Zuni') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The big, fragrant, dark red flowers have golden centers and attract butterflies and bees. Deer and rabbits tend to pass it by. Stems reach 31 inches and form a dense bush.

Pairs well with Empress Wu hosta, Nodding onion, and Sedge.
