Notes

'Ace of Hearts' peony (Paeonia 'Ace of Hearts') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen plantings. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Deer and rabbits tend to browse other plants first. Large red flowers have broad petals around a yellow stamen ball, and heavy stems stand well. Don Hollingsworth bred it in 2002.

Pairs well with White Feather hosta, Blue Muffin arrowwood viburnum, and Blonde Ambition blue grama.
