Notes
'Achille' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Achille') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The fragrant, double blooms open seashell pink with light green highlights in early to mid spring. They age to white. Jacques Calot bred it, and it grows tall and upright.
Pairs well with Aromatic aster, Black Hero tulip, and False Solomon's seal.
