Notes
'Africana' flame lily (Gloriosa superba 'Africana') is a climbing bulb for a living hedge or privacy screen. It is hardy to USDA zone 8, or down to 10°F (-12°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and sandy soil. It grows at a rapid pace, so give it a trellis or fence to climb. The flowers are soft orange and yellow, and they appear in early to late summer and again in early to late autumn.
Pairs well with Jasmine, Lemongrass, and Totally Tangerine dahlia.
