Notes

'Lutea' flame lily (Gloriosa superba 'Lutea') is a bulb for borders, containers, and low maintenance gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 8, or down to 10°F (-12°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Its yellow flowers are a bit smaller than those of the species. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice. It grows 24 to 36 inches tall and wide, so give it room in a bed or a large pot.

Pairs well with Agapanthus, Lemongrass, and Vermillionaire cuphea.
