Notes
'Afterglow' peony (Paeonia 'Afterglow') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average moisture. The soft pink blooms have darker flares, a sweet scent, and a draw for butterflies and bees. It sits low on the menu for deer and rabbits. Derek Irvine bred it in 2001.
Pairs well with Abiqua Drinking Gourd hosta, Limelight hydrangea, and Nodding onion.
