Notes

Lily-of-the-nile (Agapanthus praecox) is a perennial for borders, containers, and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 8, or down to 10°F (-12°C). This plant likes full sun and average to moist soil. Soft blue flowers open from early to late summer and attract hummingbirds and bees. It is not a favorite of deer, though hungry deer will eat almost anything. Mulch it each winter with fallen leaves.

Pairs well with May Night salvia, Red-hot poker, and Butterfly bush.
