Notes

'Ah' peony (Paeonia 'Ah') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The double, crinkled blooms are deep purple red and fragrant. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice. Bees and butterflies visit the flowers.

Pairs well with Empress Wu hosta, Nodding onion, Sedge, and Limelight hydrangea.
