Notes

'Ah So' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Ah So') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The deep pink flowers have a flat Japanese form with yellow stamens. Strong stems hold them up well, even in wind. Muryl Kostiuk bred it.

Pairs well with Spanish bluebell, Japanese spirea, and Sensitive fern.
