Notes
'Alba' hardy begonia (Begonia grandis 'Alba') is a perennial for shade gardens, woodland settings, and ground cover. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes part sun to full shade and average to wet, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything. It forms a clump up to 24 inches tall and blooms white in summer and autumn. Bees visit the flowers.
Pairs well with Lady fern, Woodland phlox, and Oakleaf hydrangea.
