Notes
'Alba Plena' wood anemone (Anemone nemorosa 'Alba Plena') is a perennial for borders and low maintenance beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes part sun to full shade and average to moist, loamy, clay, or chalky soil. It blooms from early to late spring and spreads 12 to 24 inches, so give it room to fill in. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal. Drought tolerance adds to its easy nature.
Pairs well with Giant trillium, Yellow trout-lily, Common cowslip, and Lady fern.
