Notes
'Blue Eyes' wood anemone (Anemone nemorosa 'Blue Eyes') is a bulb for ground cover. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes part sun to full shade and average to wet soil. The ruffly white double flowers have a blue-purple center eye, and the backs of the petals are flushed blue. It blooms in early to late spring above finely dissected foliage. Plant it beneath deciduous trees and shrubs, or near dark flowered hellebores.
Pairs well with Lady fern, Rainbow's End hosta, and Goldenseal.
