Notes

'Royal Blue' wood anemone (Anemone nemorosa 'Royal Blue') is a perennial for borders, low maintenance beds, and ground cover. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes part sun to full shade and average to moist, loamy, clay, or chalky soil. It has some of the bluest flowers of the wood anemones, and they open in early to late spring. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal. Plant it around dark flowered hellebores to show off the blooms, and know that it goes dormant in mid to late summer.

Pairs well with Giant trillium, Yellow trout-lily, Common cowslip, and Checkered lily.
