Notes

'Alba' stokes’ aster (Stokesia laevis 'Alba') is a perennial for borders, cottage gardens, pollinator gardens, and meadows. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to wet soil. It sits low on the menu for deer and rabbits. White flowers open from early to late summer and again in early autumn. Butterflies and bees visit the blooms.

Pairs well with Little bluestem, Culver’s root, and Hardy hibiscus.
