Notes

'Albert Niva' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Albert Niva') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Its fragrant, scarlet red flowers are double and shaped like balls. They open in early to mid spring and have many side buds. 'Albert Niva' bred it, and the plant reaches about 24 to 35 inches tall.

Pairs well with Siberian iris, Blonde Ambition blue grama, and Black Hero tulip.
