Notes
'Alboran Sea' tree peony (Paeonia suffruticosa 'Alboran Sea') is a shrub for borders and cut flower use. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Large violet-purple flowers open in mid spring and smell like a sweet rose. Their weight makes the stems lean outward, and the long stems make good bouquets. Nate Bremer bred it.
Pairs well with Elegans hosta, Toad lily, and Stargazer lily.
