Notes
Alcyon tree peony (Paeonia suffruticosa 'Alcyon (or Alcione)') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Oudin Aîné bred it. Give it a spot where the woody stems can stay in place from year to year.
Pairs well with Earth Angel hosta, Obsidian coral bells, and Stargazer lily.
