Notes

'Alesia' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Alesia') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Large, double white flowers open in late spring and have a rose fragrance. The blooms are creamy white and deepen toward the center. Victor Lemoine & Sons bred it.

Pairs well with Siberian iris, False Solomon's seal, Spanish bluebell, and Sensitive fern.
